Hoy No Me Puedo Levantar, 20 años después is a concert-style reunion that revisits the hit jukebox musical built around the songs of Spanish pop group Mecano, reuniting much of the original Mexican cast in a specially reimagined staging. The production is presented at Centro Cultural Telmex in Mexico City’s Roma neighborhood and is produced by Alejandro Gou with creative direction and adaptation by Alan Estrada. It is notable as a two-decade anniversary tribute to the 2006 phenomenon that helped popularize musical theatre driven by a pop catalogue in Mexico.
